My First Experience In India’s Rajdhani Train

I shifted to New York on 15th December 2013 on a work visa and now it’s been 6 years that I am living in the US. My family is staying in India and I decided to have a holiday trip to India as I still miss those local and express train and reading books on the train when I use to travel to different places.

I called my mom and informed her that I am coming to India. She was so happy as she has not seen me for 6 years and she told me that “come soon we all are waiting for you”. Firstly, I took leave from the company and booked a flight ticket to Mumbai, and packed all my important stuff. I connected to United Airlines Customer Service to know my flight status and this airline is the best in class in customer service that I had experienced previously. They assist me with my flight status and then my flight date to India was 12 October 2019.

I was happy that finally after 6 years I am going to meet my family and stay with them for some time. My young brother used to be naughty in his childhood and get scolded every time by my mom and dad. I am excited to see how grown up he is now.

I board the flight on 10th Oct 2019, at night, and reached Mumbai on 12 October 2019 at the perfect time. As I said earlier I was fond of traveling in the Indian train in my childhood days. So I booked another ticket of Rajdhani train from Mumbai to Delhi. My experience with this train is so old that I don’t even recognize how many times I have travelled from this train to different places with my parents. The delicious bread cutlet was still yummy and flawless fully air-conditioned cabin. I just loved it.

Finally, I reached Delhi the next day and met my family. My brother surprised me with gifts and mom prepared my favorite dishes. At the dinner table, I discuss with my parents to explore some hill stations and will enjoy and take some memorable pictures with me so whenever I miss them I’ll have those pictures with me. So, we decided to travel to Shimla, Kasauli, Badrinath & Kedarnath.

We enjoyed a lot on this destination and had some beautiful memories with me. It was around one and half months and my time was coming near to go back to my workplace. Although, we had a great time but my mom was sad that I am leaving now but I promised her that I will be back soon after one year again because neither I want to miss the flying experience with United Airlines nor I want to miss travelling by train to my hometown.
